03 / RESEARCH & TOOLS

World Engine

Ongoing research

Understand a world.
Then change it.

Research into reconstructing interactive worlds, changing how they look and behave, and creating environments where AI can be tested.

FROM OBSERVATION TO SOFTWARE

A world is more
than its picture.

There are rules behind what appears on the screen. Movement, resources, interactions, and state all need to work together. Reconstructing a world means understanding that behavior, not only reproducing its appearance.

The work includes game reconstruction experiments and the tools used to create and review new assets. Those tools also support the development of Lilwrld.

Tools make
new work possible.

The research and the creative practice feed each other. A tool built to understand one world can become a way to make another.
